About Drippy

Hi,

My name is Sarah & I am 26 years old & I am from Melbourne. I started Drippy cosmetics in 2019 in my bedroom by myself. I was on my laptop one night a few weeks after I quit my soul draining 9-5 sales job in the city when I came across some videos on YouTube of girls making their own lip gloss & it unlocked a memory from when I was about 10 years old where I got a "Lip Gloss making kit" for Christmas. I remembered the sweet smell and the absolute joy I got out of making my own gloss & wearing it. Something sparked in me and I immediately ordered the ingredients to make my own lip gloss again. I started making little batches of gloss with different flavours & pigments, I became obsessed with how fun & satisfying it was to mix them up and put them into tubes.

As time went on, I experimented more & more & kept educating myself on how to make the best formula possible. I wanted it to be non sticky, I always loved lip gloss but HATED when the wind would blow and my hair got stuck to my lips. I also wanted it to actually leave your lips feeling hydrated and soft as I couldn't stand when I would use a lip gloss that made your lips glossy but left them feeling dried out and unhealthy afterwards. So I kept on improvising & turned my lip glosses into "Glossy Lip Oils". I designed the formula so that it made your lips really shiny & glossy but not sticky & also super hydrating & nourishing like a lip balm/oil.

Growing up, I suffered with eczema & was very sensitive to a lot of skin care products. I always loved the art of makeup & became a make up artist when I was 17 years old but I struggled with wearing make up because of my eczema, the ingredients in a lot of the products would make me so much worse. I remember getting eczema around my mouth when I would use certain lipsticks or lip glosses. So as time has gone on, I have been working hard on making my Glossy Lip Oils cleaner and bringing out new products that sensitive skin babes like me could use and not get irritated from. My goal is to keep on making unique, beautiful, luxurious products that don't have harmful or irritating ingredients in them that everyone can enjoy.

I am also very conscious of where the ingredients are coming from, hence why I refuse to use palm oil in any of our products, because it involves deforestation & Orangutans & other animals losing their homes/dying for our selfish wants. Same with mineral oils, mining for mineral oil, also known as petroleum extraction or drilling for crude oil, has both environmental and ecological impacts that can be harmful to the Earth, not to mention, it isn't really great for our health either. So I will keep striving to create a brand that is as sustainable as possible.

If you are reading this, I really hope you enjoy my products & I appreciate every single, sale, like, share, comment & review. I always dreamed of running my own online business & you are making this all possible. Thank you so much for your support.
